ยป Addons

Creating / adding addons is very easy, just create or upload any PHP script to the addons folder following a few simple rules.

For example, if you are adding a guestbook script as an addon:

    • Create a new folder named guestbook in the addons folder.
    • Rename the guestbook.php to index.php and place it in the new folder.
    • If the main script (index.php) is refrring to other files, then add CMS_ADDON_PATH to the begining of the path, e.g. ./mypath/myimage.gif should read <?php CMS_ADDON_PATH ?>/mypath/myimage.gif .
    • Also if your script offers standalone mode, then set this to false or 0.
    • Goto admin area and in the [Pages} tab, assign the new (guestbook) page to a menu set, to appear in.
    • Save changes.

After this point your script will appear as a link in the menu set it was asigned to, and will be loaded, as an integrated part of your site, anytime the visitor clicks your addon link e.g. Guestbook.

Remember if you add an addon to your addons folder, the folder name will be formatted and displayed as link name in the assigned menu on your site, but you can change the link name to anything you want in the admin panel.
